WHO — Mercury Pollution Awareness Drive

Multi-format workshops across Delhi NCR schools and communities teaching safe handling of mercury-based materials.

Project Overview

Global health partnership with WHO.

Supported by the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Environment, Hara Jeevan designed an awareness programme demystifying mercury risks for students, teachers, and citizens.

  • Location: Delhi NCR schools and community centres.
  • Workshops at Balwant Rai School (Greater Kailash), SBV Mongolpuri, Kamal Model School (Nawada), Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya No. 2 (Janakpuri), and more.
  • Interactive sessions with RWAs & senior-citizen clubs such as Bali Nagar built household vigilance.
  • WHO masterclass (September 22, 2025) showcased safe handling, emergency response, and disposal practices.
